Hello Everyone and I do so apologize for the failure to update this.  I expect I’ll hear bearing a firm stern conversation with the boss man himself.  Not that he would be in the wrong mind you!  I did promise to get him this update earlier than today.  Anyway, let’s get right into it, shall we!

I have had the very amazing pleasure of playing through the game Prey.  Since it’s release, I have actually completed two campaign throughs, and have managed to gain a really deep look into what Bethesda has done.  This piece of art for a vide game is most assuredly going to be the better purchase than Injustice 2 (which also happens to be a great game, btw).  However, with the stunning visuals, and the amazingly deep and rich subplot that we’ve come to know and expect from writers like Neil Gaiman with his work on American Gods, or even deeper stories, such as the Dark Tower by Stephen King, or the Warhammer40k books and their continued and interconnected storylines.
With Bethesda’s recent work, Prey, you are a researcher sent to combat an alien force aboard the Talos I space station, which has existed since Kennedy’s time as president, and was never shot (and you get to see this result in the many differed styles of architecture that do fill out the game).  This game has you go from Art Deco to Dystopian Science, while aboard the Talos I, while you fight this enemy menace, and try to ensure that it never reaches Earth.  With this said, one could say that this game takes Doom, Dead Space, and other survival Horror Games, throws in a very rich, thick, and powerful storyline where every choice you make in-game has a long term consequence, something definitively worth investing your money in.  With it’s visuals, jump-scares, it is almost as if Ridley Scott himself had said, “This is my legacy, this is Aliens in a nutshell”.  With all this said about the game however, I personally for MFG’s Mouth off give this game an overall 5 star rating for content, deployability, consistent and enjoyable combat and jump-scares, and the overall sound and visual quality.

Game:  Prey (PS4, XBOX ONE, PC)
Rating:  5 out of 5 stars.

Now, Meztrailov Fantasy Games does have some things that it’s working on.  Currently, the company is running it’s spring Madness sale, where each day, all books in the library go through a lotto, and that random choice will be on sale for a total of 24 hours, before being being repriced back to it’s original price.  So act now, and within the next week, in order to cash in on some amazing savings from some really talented authors, which I will be reviewing for MFG as an objective writer and reader starting next month’s update.  I will be starting with Al Holt and Wendy Winchester’s work.

Aside from all this, we are still looking for submissions, so please, if you have an idea, bring it to MFG.  You’ll be treated right, like family, and as though your work has meaning. Even if they cannot publish your manuscript, they will refer you to someone that can actually publish your manuscript.  So with all that said folks, I look forward to your feedback as always, and hope you enjoyed this short, but simple update this month.  Sorry all of them can’t be long and filled, but I promised I would keep spoilers out of this one.  See you next month!
