END OF THE LINE

For Adam Crenfield, retirement from the F.B.I. has allowed him the comforts of his family, and private practice as a Psychiatrist.  Seeing a few patients, a week, Dr. Crenfield has been dedicating his retirement to continue doing what he thought was a good cause.  Helping people.  But as the age of 40 looms in front of him he takes a look at his life and his practice and comes to realize that people are not being helped like he thought they were.  His patients seem to be getting worse instead of better.  With his daughter graduating from high school and a new child on the way, Adam sees that the world needs a bit more of a drastic measure to heal, starting with his patients.

Manhattan Homicide Officer John Ackerson is a hero.  Promoted to the rank of Detective after capturing one of the worst pedophile criminals the city had seen, the Jackal, John should have been celebrating and enjoying the case finally being closed with a successful arrest and conviction thanks to the assistance of Dr. Adam Crenfield.  But life isn’t so sweet for the new Detective.  Divorced and alone, John Ackerson loses himself in his work, including a new serial killer case where people seem to be dying in strange ways.  Finding himself abusing drugs and alcohol to forget the rest of the world outside of the NYPD, it’s at the whims of Internal Affairs that he’s made to see Dr. Adam Crenfield for therapy.
